raspberry and pear. Ahhh – a wine tour in Hawke’s Bay!

Sunny Hawke’s Bay on the North Island is New Z’s largest wine region. There are 25 different soil types in the area including clay loam, limestone, gravel and red metal. Most of the grapes in the region have been picked and the leaves are in their autumn glory.

Our companions on the tour were a couple from Liverpool, England. They knew much more about wine than we did. It all tasted good to me.
